Welcome. I’m Kaci Guilford, MA, LPC, ACS, NCC.

Life can be overwhelming, and sometimes you just need a safe place to land. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and clinical supervisor (ACS) based in Denver offering in-person and virtual counseling for individuals and couples who are ready for real change. If you want a counselor who’s down-to-earth, brings humor to the hard stuff, and truly gets what it means to be human, you’re in the right place.

Why Therapy? Why Now?

Everyone faces moments when life feels heavy, confusing, or just plain stuck. Maybe you’re navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, or big life transitions. Or maybe you just want to feel more like yourself again. Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you, it’s about helping you reconnect with your strengths, process what’s weighing you down, and build a life you’re excited to live.

In a world full of quick fixes and AI chatbots, real therapy is different. I believe healing happens in genuine human connection. While technology can offer support, it can’t replace the warmth, humor, and understanding that comes from sitting with someone who truly listens and cares. Therapy is a place to be fully seen and heard, no algorithms, just authenticity.

How It Works

  • Black silhouette of a Native American man with a traditional feathered headdress, holding a peace pipe, against a transparent background.

    1. We Get to Know You

Your story matters. We’ll start by exploring what brings you here, your experiences, your challenges, and your hopes for the future. This is a space for honesty, curiosity, and connection.

  • A dark silhouette of a cat facing left with tail raised, on a white background.

    2. We Create a Plan Together

Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. We’ll work together to clarify your goals and develop a plan that’s tailored to your unique needs, values, and priorities. Whether you want to heal from trauma, improve your relationships, or simply feel more at ease, we’ll chart a path forward together.

  • A person sitting at a desk and working on a computer in a modern office setting.

    3. We Walk the Journey Side by Side

Each session is a step toward the life you want. I’ll offer guidance, support, and practical tools along the way, adjusting our approach as needed. Growth isn’t always linear, but you won’t be alone as you move forward.
